In order to be included in the APNOMS 2009 proceedings of technical session and short paper session which will be published in Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series proceedings, at least one author registration per paper must be registered by July 13, 2009 at the Full rate (including student paper). Please check the APNOMS 2009 web page (http://www.apnoms.org/2009/) for the detailed registration information.

The paper must be prepared carefully according to the Information for LNCS Authors (http://www.springer.com/east/home/computer/lncs?SGWID=5-164-7-72376-0). The page limit of your paper is ten (10) pages maximum and four(4) pages maximum for Technical Session and Short Paper Session respectively.

Special note

  1. Although the use of LaTeX is recommended by Springer, we recommend to use MS Word with the template sv-lncs.dot.
  2. DO NOT USE COLORS: If you use colored figures, you should make sure that they are also legible in black and white, since all figures will be printed in black and white.
  3. DO NOT USE SMALL FONTS: The characters in figures should be large enough to be legible well.
  4. Springer will send the final pdf files to the contact authors, asking them to check their papers. For this contact address, we let the Springer know of your correspondence authors' e-mail address that you registered to JEMS. If you want to change the contact address, please let TPC Co-chairs know the new address.
  5. The deadline is firm-fixed. If you fail to prepare any single deliverable with complete form within the deadline, your paper will not be published in the APNOMS 2009 proceedings.
  6. In the Copyright forms, please specify "APNOMS 2009" in "Title of the Book/Volume/Conference:" and "Choong-Seon Hong, Toshio Tonouchi, Yan Ma, Chi-Shih Chao" in "VolumeEditor(s):."

Common Problems

Here are common problems that many author had made in the last year:

  1. Some authors did not use specified style file (If you use MS-word (or tex), please use sv-lncs.dot (or llncs.cls).
  2. Do not use square brackets such as [1], [2], [3] in reference section. Please specify only sequence number, such as 1,2,3 (no bracket is needed).
  3. Some authors' abstracts are too long. They should be at least 70 and at most 150 words.
  4. Some authors include page number and running head, which are not required. Do not include page number and running head.
